Application Environment
Frequent sandstorms and under high levels of ultraviolet radiation Halun, located in the arid highlands of western Inner Mongolia, where faces strong winds, sandstorms, intense UV radiation, and extreme temperature shifts. These nature conditions accelerate the speed of coating wear, which cause chalking and fading, and increase the risk of corrosion and cracking. In Halun, daily temperature fluctuations over 20°C and in winter it lows below -20°C, which demands coatings with excellent toughness, UV resistance, and long-term durability.

Advantages
In Inner Mongolia’s Halunn Power project, high-zinc and HDP color coated steel coils were utilized in order to face the extreme natural environment, which has frequent sandstorms and under high levels of ultraviolet radiation. High-zinc, weather-resistant color coated steel materials are engineered with inorganic ceramic pigments that significantly enhance their ability to retain color and withstand prolonged UV exposure in real application environment. Under such conditions, if we use ordinary color coated steel materials, they are prone to surface chalking, which gradually compromises both appearance and structural integrity. In the case of Halun Power, the application of HDP helps to reducing future maintenance costs and improving operational efficiency. Even under intense sunlight and low humidity conditions in Halun, the material could maintain the long-term color stability and coating integrity. When it exposed to daily temperature fluctuations exceeding 20°C, it retains excellent flexibility and adhesion that effectively preventing coating cracks or blistering caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Even in extreme winter conditions, where temperatures drop below -20°C, the panels demonstrate outstanding low-temperature toughness and structural stability. Therefore, that ensures the long-term safety, durability, and energy efficiency of the power plant’s exterior system. These great performances making it an ideal material solution for construction projects in harsh climate environments.
